straight line of the original dies, plus one adjustment
extra accurate micrometer to check
the depth of the bullet housing,
in increments of 0.001” or even
0.0005".
Much of the error once associated with the
housing process is eliminated with
this type of matrix.
Once the bullet has been seated near the desired depth and this has been measured, simply screw in the adjustment
micrometer to the desired depth and the cartridge will be exactly the required length.
